2/20/08 Discussion and brainstorming yields the following ideas/notes:
- One or more Smathers librarians should be the liaison for the page - along with at least one Law librarian
- LexisNexis Academic is the primary legal research database available to non-law students and faculty - the Law librarian and the Smathers librarians will work together to do the following
- make sure all the liaisons are good at using the database
- train the Smathers librarians in basic legal research
- Current page on Law library web site, "Research Tips for Undergrad and Non-Law Students" at http://www.law.ufl.edu/lic/nonlawtips.shtml
- can serve as a beginning model for content that could be put into a Law virtual library page on the Smathers web site using LibGuides
- each of the Quick Links/Headings could be a separate tab
- Peter links to this page on his Business Law page
- should include a legal glossary
- either one we build and put into the page
- or link to an e-book
- link to tutorials and research guides at Georgetown
- also include information on legislative research - using Thomas, etc.
